Who We Are

650 members with 200-300 members attending weekly and bi-monthly social and cultural activities and 140 students enrolled in weekly classes.

The Tarbuton, an Israeli Cultural Center, a Jewish community with Hebrew, Israel, Tradition and Culture at its heart.

Mission:  To offer Israeli-themed programs and classes (in Hebrew and/or English) for the local Israeli and Jewish community  providing opportunities for all to learn and maintain their Hebrew language skills, share their traditions and build a deeper connection to Israel.

Join friends for a few Israeli movies.    Meet at 10, movies at 10:30.  Lunch at 12:30 if you want to join the group. 6 JCC members/$7 non JCC members. We strongly suggest you buy your tickets early online

Sunday 1/31/10 – 1:00 pm – Kef Li Families - Tu B’Shvat Activity (in Hebrew)

Join in some fun for Tu b’Shvat; a community service project (cleaning the park), a tiul/hike with a Ranger pointing out the local trees, berries and plants and a Scavenger Hunt: the Seven Species, the sheva minim: wheat, barley, grapes (vines), figs, pomegranates, olives, and dates (honey). Sunday 2/21/10 – 2:00 – 4:00 – Kef Li -Tzofei SD Event – Miniature Golf (in Hebrew)

Tzofei SD youth group event.  The group will meet in Del Mar for Miniature Golf.  Group reduced rate for food (if wanted) and a reduced rate for admission.  $5/child and $7/adult.  The patio area is reserved for us.  Potential new members are welcome to join us.  Tzofei SD is for Hebrew speaking children ages 2nd grade – through High School.  *younger siblings are welcome.  RSVP to jennie@tarbuton.org
