Ivrit b’Ivrit & Other Programs Conducted In Hebrew - Hebrew Experience Required?
Ivrit b’Ivrit is Hebrew instruction conducted in Hebrew. No prior Hebrew experience or knowledge is required for the conversational class.Reading/Writing and other classes may require enrollment in a Conversational class or comfort in a Hebrew speaking environment.
Class Size & Age Groups
Class size is limited to 8. We group classes by age (3-6, 7-9, 10-12) but create single age classes whenever there is sufficient enrollment.
Reading/Writing Classes
Children must be in Kindergarten to begin the reading/writing program.Children should bring a Pencil Box with the following items: eraser, sharpener, scissors, glue stick, and colored pencils.Please tape your name on the box and the kids can leave it in class each week.
Fees, Refund & Make Up Policies
Est. $217/session (12 weeks) per class. Our fees vary based on the number of classes/session and material fee for projects and/or workbooks.Payment by check is required to secure enrollment.There are no refunds. Students are entitled to one make up each session in another class the same session.
Class Schedule, Registration & Waitlists
Two Sessions: Sept.-Dec. and Jan.– June.We also offer a Keitana (summer camp).A dated waitlist is maintained.Existing students have priority registration.Please email jennie@tarbuton.org to inquire about availability and request registration forms or request alternative days/times.
New Class Times
New classes are formed with demand; 5 students are required to open a new class.Please email jennie@tarbuton.org to request alternative days/times.Please include children’s birthdays, days/times that will work and experience with Hebrew.
Synagogue Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Please note that our Tarbuton programs are separate and distinct from the Synagogue Bar/Bat Mitzvah programs.Please inquire directly with the Synagogues regarding their membership and Religious school requirements if you are interested in a Bar/Bat Mitzvah at the Synagogue.
