-"on" add to a word in Hebrew to mean "a little"

e.g. The Tarbuton adds a little Israeli culture to your life. 


Youth Group - תנועת-נוער
(Conducted in Hebrew and English)

In Planning Stages - Tentatively Planned for January 2010.

  • Israeli/Hebrew speaking Youth Group: Strengthens Israeli & Jewish identity through Israeli culture
  • Provides children a gathering place where they can preserve their Hebrew language, Jewish heritage and interact with peers who share their heritage
  • Develops life-long friendships, a sense of belonging and self-esteem
  • Preparation for leadership within the youth group and in society
  • Provides tools to help deal with the question of identity as American and Israeli


**Program Conducted in Hebrew and in English - Fluency is not required, but comfort with Hebrew is a must and a desire to learn Hebrew is required.

 

COURSE HADRACHA (Leadership Training for 9th-12th graders)

 

Veteran members, ages 15-18 are counselors for 7-14 yr olds with college student supervision.

 

Volunteer (non-paid) positions.  Earn Community Service credit for High School

 

YOUTH GROUP - TNUAT NOAR (Weekly Peulot/Activities)

 

Simulation games ~ Discussions ~ Projects ~ Ceremonies ~ Holidays ~ Music/Dance ~ Sports

 

Peulot/Activities grouped by age. 


Meetings: Sunday Afternoons. 2:00-4:30 in Carmel Valley.  Madrichim 1:00-4:30.
