Israeli Cultural Activities through Other Organizations

There are many organizations who organize Israeli programs in San Diego. Whenever possible,we'll do our best to include those in the newsletter sent out monthly.

Shai's class in San Marcos. At Palomar College run by 17 1/2 yr old Israeli,the class costs for 6 weeks. The first session is August 27 between 7 and 8 pm. If you want more information,visit:

Israeli Makela (Professional Choir)


Hava Friedman has organized "Chavurat Zemer" which will perform only in Hebrew. Songs include new, old, and familiar songs.

Rivi Raz, who has over 3 decades of experience is the conductor. Participants should be able to read Hebrew.


Rehearsals are once a week in the evening during the week. Contact Hava for day/time of meetings which occur in the music room of La Jolla JCC. The Makela is still seeking new participants.


A participant fee each time covers the room and the conductor's fee. The makela performs professionally. Please contact evehavafriedman@yahoo.com
